Trinity Bamboo recommends the use of Wakol MS 245 Montinator Adhesive for all applications that require adhesive for installation including but not exclusively, flooring transitions, stair treads/nosing, repairing stairs, and closing expansion joints. This single component MS hybrid-polymer is an elastic mounting adhesive which bonds to wood, metals, plastics, concretes, stone, decorative tiles, wall cladding, panels and wood strips. It is quick-setting and cures within 24 hours.

All surfaces must meet the NWFA Guidelines, they must be permanently dry, smooth and level. They must be structurally sound, solid, well fastened, clean and free from dust, oil, grease, paint, wax, old adhesive. Remove any curing and parting compounds, surface hardeners and sealers which are known to interfere with the adhesive bond to concrete, as well as loosely bonded toppings, primers or any other substances that may prevent or reduce adhesion.
Cut cartridge at the top end, cut nozzle at 45 ° angle to the desired bead thickness and screw nozzle to cartridge. Place cartridge in WAKOL Applicator or any suitable caulking gun and press the trigger. Apply adhesive in evenly and uniformly. Lay materials to be bonded into wet adhesive and press firmly. Occasionally lift a piece to assure an adhesive transfer of minimum 90 %. Allow adhesive to cure minimum 24 to 48 hours depending on room climate. Cured adhesive can be easily removed manually.
Jobsite conditions must meet NWFA Guidelines. Doors and windows must be installed and the HVAC running to simulate the living environment climate conditions at work site: 60 °F to 75 °F / 15 °C to 24 °C, 40 % to 65 % relative humidity. Acclimatize materials during cold periods properly. Adhesive can be used above grade, on grade and below grade. Do not use adhesive on subfloors with excessive moisture and hydrostatic pressure.
